The programs you mentioned do different things, so it certainly can defend more units to install. Of course would be, if it be an Apple computer is not a problem because there are far fewer virueses designed to be attacked Apple Computer.
After more than one type of anti-virus program is highly recommended, because, as you say, software and system conflicts can occur. They are trying to "crush" and "struggle" for the position in the memory of the computer.
The other points you mention are known to detect malware, spyware and Trojans on your computer and can cause accidents and system failures.
Norton Antivirus is a good program, but they are known to cause problems on the PC, and can sometimes lead to system failures at worst. If I'd recommend a good configuration, as follows: AVG Anti-Virus can be downloaded from the Grisoft website, and Spybot - and make sure that Windows Firewall is fully active. Remember to clear out to Norton at the start of your PC before installing AVG.
That should do the trick was.
depends on what anti-virus installed .. because some antivirus not if you have another antivirus program installed on your computer ... Example of this is kaspersky .. who is not, if you have another antivirus program installed on your computer
I work for an Internet company and is not recommended for more than 1 anti-virus software to install the computer a lot and now Norton slows down your computer and Internet access, slowing down the updates as more and download. Not avoid passing Spybot and Windows Defender anti-virus, ads and pop-ups, so that you can use in conjunction with Norton.
If Norton slows down the computer a lot to recommend for all our clients in VET Antivirus for your computer system.
Spybot is not an antivirus program, anti-malware (spyware, adware, etc..) Is Windows Defender, a program that protects your computer against pop-ups, performance and security threats from malicious software, spyware and other causes.
It will work well with Norton, but Norton & Defender is a bit excessive if you ask me. I would like to remove one or the other, but leave it in Spybot and run regularly (updates immunize, then scan) - a once or twice a month.
No problem, but not at a time ...
Is it more effective, and often do not hurt each other, but if you use all the time, the Compy a bit slow.
Yes, but not executed, both at the same time. This is the performance of your computer. But at least 3 anti-spyware.
From what you describe is not just an antivirus program there.
Norton is a great program, if used correctly, but Spybot is another type of program. Is the pursuit of things like "spyware / adware" programs that create a little different from viruses.
Windows Defender really think it's a waste of time if you have a firewall, because that's basically the role that it needs.
But it seems that your system is good on all insured.

The use of 2 or more anti-virus programs simultaneously can lead to significant conflict. The 2 scanning engines will fight each other to scan all files that you can read, write, or execute, which cause a slow machine damage. For the same reason, with 2 A-VS may lead to less protection from malware, not more.
(Using an anti-spyware anti-virus is good, but recommended)
BUT ... Norton Anti-Virus is a virus.
Win Defender anti-spyware.
Spybot is an anti-spyware.
... So basically, his mother GF excellent protection and should not conflict!
Bot Windows Defender anti-spyware and antivirus programs are not persay. More spyware, adware, malware and spam protection internet that you do not see. To answer your question, but you do not want more than a virus, to install there, especially Norton and McAfee are resource hogs. I am using AVG Antivirus for 5 years as my antivirus software, Spybot, Ad-Aware SE, Tony Arts Easy Cleaner and RegScrubXP.
Here is something from a previous post I wrote:
